He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Stevenson and Gertrude Stevenson. He is survived by: his children, Nick Stevenson (Courtney), Lisa Demonja, James W. Stevenson (Virginia) and Amanda Kaiser (Josh); his siblings, Eric Stevenson, Paula Sanderson, Mary Tipton and Linda Engle; and his children, Gail Cowan and Deborah Stevenson. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
