He is survived by: his wife Irene Vera (Alcala); his children, Gina Gonzalez (Alejandro), Jillian Mojica (Daniel) and Gilbert Vera, Jr. (Aurora); his grandchildren, Alejandrina Rico (Andrew), Alejandra Gonzalez, Alexis Gonzalez, Delia Vera, Celeste Vera, Eulalia Mojica, Alex Gonzalez, Daniel Mojica, Jr. and Damian Mendieta; his great grandchildren, Lincoln Barnes and Camila Rico; and his siblings, Armando Vera, Richard Vera (Yolanda), Mario Vera (Anne) and Irma Layton (late Benny). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
