She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Harold Mintz; her grandson Cliff Button; her son-in-law Monte Mordecai; her siblings, Edward, Loyd Capps, Aria Mullins, Frances Phillips, Edna Capps and Ina Lovett; and her parents, Carmon Capps and George Capps.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Kenneth Button (Carol) of Akron, Ohio, Dr. Karen Kroczek (Tom) of Munster, Indiana, Mindy Mintz Mordecai and Dr. Michael Mintz of Dyer, Indiana; her stepdaughter Dr. Judy Chesen (Alan) of Centerville, Ohio.; her grandchildren, Daniel Button (Tammy) of Michigan City, Indiana, Stephen Kroczek of Schererville, Indiana, Keith Maxwell Button (Erin) of Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Catherine Murphy (Matthew) of Schererville, Indiana, Jonah Chesen of Centerville, Ohio, Garrett Mintz of Austin, Texas, Dr. Caley Mintz of Indianapolis, Indiana, Mara Mordecai of Toronto, Ontario, Zoe Mintz of Greenville and Miller Mordecai of Boston, Massachusetts.; her great grandchildren, Tyler Kroczek, Patrick Murphy, Beatrice Button, Matilyn Murphy and Hazel Button; her sister Loletta Kidd; and her former husband Earl Button. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID restrictions, the celebration of Eva's life will be held at a later date.
