She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert R. Sell and Delores Smith; and her husband Joe T. Nelson Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Joe Nelson (Tammy) and Serena Herring (Willie); her grandchildren, Jake Davis, David Karner, Nicholas Nelson, Nikki Karner, Ariana Nelson, Jaylyn Nelson and Jazlyn Nelson; and her sisters, Linda Dailey, Cynthia Lloyd and Margo Smith. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
