Bryon Lee Higginbotham, Jr. "Obie" (dad's favorite child) passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023.
Bryon is survived by his parents: Bryon Sr. and Dorothea Higginbotham; two brothers: Justin (Britney) Culver and Marc Higginbotham; one sister, Kaylee (Tim) Higginbotham; 3 beautiful daughters: Rachel, Lilliana and Natalie Higginbotham; long-loving girlfriend, Kanesha Lowe; mother and father-in-law: Michelle and Tony Lowe; adopted grandma, Roberta Lowe; brother-in-law, Thomas Lowe; nieces: Kaitlyn, Kaylee, Bridgette, Dorothy and Amber; nephews: Billy and Tommy; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Obie had three favorite Pastors: Brian and Debbie Shaver, James and Carly Turnes, Adam and Heather Lyle; his two best pals: David Sisak, Jr. and Greg Hoover. Bryon is proceeded in death by his grandparents: Tommy "Pa" and Dorothy "Ma" Culver, and Thomas and Janet Kay Higginbotham; three uncles: Tommy Higginbotham, Ronald Culver and Ricky Higginbotham; his loving dog of many years, Bruno; and his best friend, Jose Figueroa.
Bryon Jr. loved spending time with his children, that was his life; and also, his nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 7:00 PM at LaHayne Funeral Home located at 6955 Southeastern Avenue, Hammond, IN 46324, with Pastor Brian Shaver officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 4:00 PM until the time of service.
Watching your live stream even though your funeral was last night, before getting ready for church! I'll be watching and watching it over and over again. Yea I know my big bro your up in heaven laughing at me, cause you could hear me crying on the live stream. Bryon Higginbotham I love and miss you, more than words can express. Obie I thank you for being one of the best brother we could ask for, one of the best uncle to our niece and nephew and one of the best son to our parents. Also the best daddy to your baby girls. I'm so going to miss our call where I ask if I can't get the niece for the night. Big bro this still steam to good to be true. I'm going to miss you at Amber party for the rest of our live, but I'll have her tablet of guardian angels there. Big bro give all our family in Heaven a hug from us down here. I know yesterday I probably made you mad as I was playing with your hair or me not leaving your side. I'm going to miss when everyone at our house and our Nephew Tommy want you to just play Xbox with him. I'm going to miss your "What the f man" but most important thing I'm going to miss is you my big brother.

Growing up I was always enjoying running around playing tag and jumping fences, walking to Ma's house over the tracks. Pa yelling at us for climbing things. You were always the fastest runner and you let everyone know if something made you mad. You were such a big part of my childhood. I'll always love you, my favorite redheaded cousin. It was wonderful seeing you become a dad and that your individuality stayed with you as with having tattoos and you were always real and down to earth. Rest peacefully in heaven until we meet again.
