He was predeceased by: his parents, Leola (Waybright) and Bert Sr.; his wife Carolyn Faye Harper; his siblings, Eloise Jackson, Avis Estep, Wanda Maynor and James Estep (Jim); and his grandchildren, Joshua Potter and Grace Earl.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Boswell (Thomas), Debbie Duda (Joseph), Chris Estep (Sarah Schuster) and Sharon Earl (Michael); his grandchildren, Aaron Potter (Amy Kooi), Jacob Potter (Brittney), Elaina Jackson (Kyle), Ethan Earl (Jesseca), Ryan Boswell (Chloe Moffett) and Steven Earl; and his great grandchildren, Harley Mincy, Emaleah Potter, Carolyn Potter (Ellie), Grace Potter, Jaxon Potter, Riley Jackson, Sophia Potter, Everly Potter and Paw.
In lieu of flower memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in North Hammond, Indiana.
