It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sydney C. Awald of Hamlet, Indiana, who passed away on May 10, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sydney C. Awald to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his father Ora Awald; his son-in-law Gary Hawk; and his siblings, Ethel Thornburg, Irene Singleton, Gladys Large, Dorothy Carlson, Pauline Martin, Audrey Dudek, Clarence and Frederick Awald.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann (Romine); his children, Pamela Hawk of Hamlet, Jill Hazelton (Brian) of Hamlet and Jack (Debra) of Hamlet; and his sister Vertie Pulliam (Bob) of Walkerton. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Oregon-Davis Scholarship Fund.
