He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald T. Kirk and Ingeborg Kirk (Kornstadt). He is survived by: his wife Marcia Burris; his children, Mickey Davenport, Autumn Kirk, Angel Burris, Nathan Kirk and Ethan Kirk; his grandchildren, Aria Davenport and Kira Robinson; and his siblings, Donald T. A. Kirk (Tracy), Cheryl Haloski (David), Shelley Kirk, Carolyn Agee (Ron Bradley) and Sharon Benson (Tim).

Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Rannells Funeral Home - Hamlet Chapel (102 W Davis St, Hamlet, IN 46532). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at the Grovertown Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to assist with funeral expenses.
