He was predeceased by: his parents, James Martin and Laura Martin (Bechdol); his wife Delores Addison; and his siblings, Richard Martin and Betty McKaig.
He is survived by: his children, Laura Walters of Fayetteville, NC, Brent Martin (Eileen) of Plymouth, IN and Brian Martin (Brenda) of Statesville, NC.; his grandchildren, Kevin Walters (Stephanie) of Fishers, IN, Kirsten Martin of South Bend and Erika Martin (Scott) of Manhattan, KS.; his great grandchildren, Kenneth Martin, Anabelle, Vera, Scarlett Walters and Cecilia Wilburn; and also John Shoemaker.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Northern Indiana Community Foundation (NICF) Oregon-Davis Elementary Academic Enhancement Fund (SFFE).
