He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard F. Blasing and Mildred I. Blasing (Blue); his brother Mike Blasing; his brothers-in-law, Jack Alford and Dr. Jim Hilbert; and his nephews, Jay Alford and Luis Novoa.
He is survived by: his siblings, Fred Blasing (Erna) of Summerfield, Joan Alford of Lakeland, Luci Hilbert of Hicksville and Gloria Lyons of Hicksville, Ohio; and his sister-in-law Julie Blasing of Lakeland, Florida. He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews; 14 great-nieces and nephews and six great-great-nieces and nephews.
