She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Beard and Viola Beard (Crowl); her husband Keith Platter; her daughters, Michele Meeks and Carolyn Woronuik; and her sister Eleanor Casebere.
She is survived by: her sons, David Richardson (Jackie) of Hamilton, Michael Richardson (Wendy) of Hamilton, Keith Platter II of Garrett, Kevin Platter of Auburn and Kent Platter of Hamilton. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
