He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Dale and Lenore June Hollingsworth-Deakyne (Spurgeon); and his wife Shirley A. Hollingsworth (Blanton). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to the American Diabetes Association.
