He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Hilbert and Fern Hilbert (Swoveland); his wives, Erslia Redmon Trowbridge and Marcia Paulette Davis; and his siblings, Gerald Hilbert, Harold Hilbert and Catherine Ponsler.
He is survived by: his daughters, Gail T. Fetz (Richard) of Indianapolis and Lisa T. Gregory (David) of Muncie; his grandchildren, Steven Thomas Fetz (Sara) of Chicago, Daniel Alan Fetz (Mary) of Indianapolis, Corbin Thomas Gregory (Eunica) of Honolulu, Michaela Kane and Taylor Kane of North Carolina; and his great grandchildren, Althea Gomez, Georgia Louise Fetz and Miller Grace Fetz.
