It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert D. Halcomb of Hagerstown, Indiana, born in Franklin, Indiana, who passed away on January 3, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emerson Halcomb and Nellie Halcomb (Manious); his former wife Barbara Halcomb; his sons, Paul Emerson and Michael Donald Halcomb; his siblings, Cassie Ledbetter, Mattie Corn, Verna Mae Lessing, Carl Halcomb, Ernest Halcomb, Walker Halcomb, Charlie Halcomb, Wilbur Halcomb, Dora Sloan and Mabell Halcomb; and his son-in-law Tom Cooley.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Halcomb (Frame); his daughters, Diana Cooley, Donna Litton (Jerry) and Jo Tyra (Barry); his stepchildren, Vicki Culy (Brad), Mike Frame (Diane) and Amy Stohler (Steve); his grandchildren, Sybil Norberg (Jason), Angie Bry (Quincy), Rinda Kieffer (Steve Oakes) and Coby Litton; his stepgrandchildren, Ben Culy (Shawna), Adam Culy (Blair), Thad Frame (Krystal), Heath Frame, Cora Roser (Andy), Shelley Stohler, Savannah Stohler, Sierra Stohler, Jeff Cooley (Jennifer) and Jen Mathis (Joe); his sisters, Myrtle Deiwert, Lorrene Peters and Winnie Wyatt; and his close friends, Max, Chere Riggs, Jeff and Susan Julian. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; 10 step great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to American Cancer Society.
