He was predeceased by: his wife Julia L. Owens Smith; his parents, Forest C. Smith and Ada Pitman Smith; his daughter Karen Snediger (David); and his brothers, Forest D. Smith, Harold Smith and Wilbur Smith.
He is survived by: his son Jeffrey Smith (Vonne); his grandchildren, Josh Snediger (Keturah), Wesley Snediger (Leander), Amanda Stimler (Timothy) and Brandi Smith (Angel); his stepgrandson Justin Russell (Darcy); his great grandchildren, James, Xander, Courtney, Autumn and Harlan; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Emma, Kendal and Will; his brother David Smith (Mary Ann); his close friend Patricia Peirce; and his friend Anna Meyers. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, neighbors and friends.
