He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Beers and Elizabeth Beers (Boyd); his son Richard "Rick" Beers; his brother Robert Beers; his stepfather Stewart Bane; and his stepbrother Mardell "Bill" Bane.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Bryan; his children, Jayne Beers and Bryan Beers (Cheryl); and his grandchildren, Leslie Ann Koontz (James) and Joshua Beers (Katherine). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
