He was predeceased by: his parents, James Floyd and Mattie Sutherland (Rich). He is survived by: his sons, Bill Sutherland (Pam) and Mike Sutherland (Stacey); his grandchildren, Racheal Smith (AJ), Ashley Smith (Blair), Kennedy Sutherland and Chase Sutherland; his great grandchildren, Elija Smith, Bridget Smith and Briar Smith; his siblings, Polly Conyers, Virginia Short, Carolyn Smith, Willie Southerland and Jerry Sutherland; his wife Margaret "Maggie" Sutherland; and his sister Shirley Roberts. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
