He was predeceased by: his parents, John Oakerson and Letha Oakerson (Hodson); his wife Karen; his daughter Cindy Hendrickson; his granddaughter Jenny Haskell; his brother-in-law Robert Cadwallader; and his nephew Richard Cadwallader.
He is survived by: his children, Arthur McGrew (Mary), Becky Hannah, Judy Oakerson (Mary), Kimberly Gibson (John), Melissa Wilson and Kelli Grove; and his siblings, Phyllis Cadwallader, Vernon Oakerson (Sonnie) and Ronald Oakerson (Sherry). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
