He was predeceased by: his parents, Leamon and Erma (Jackson); and his sister Lettie Sweigart. He is survived by: his wife Jean Sanders; his sons, Doug Sanders, Dan Sanders and John Sanders (Kathy); his grandsons, Bryan Sanders, Brandon Sanders (Kendra), Eric Sanders (Kim) and Nolan Sanders (Myranda); and also, Braydon Sanders, Christian Sanders and Riley Sanders. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Reid Foundation for Hospice and American Legion Post 333.
