James R. Kraus Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James R. Kraus (Guilford, Indiana), who passed away on March 1, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Maria; his former wife Beth; his sons, Douglas Kraus and Jim Kraus Jr.; his brother Paul Kraus; his sister-in-law Joyce Kraus; and his parents, Albert Kraus and Norma Kraus (Wuestefeld).
He is survived by: his children, Rita Hummel (Bill), Bill Kraus (Brenda) and Barbie Whiteford (Johnnie); his grandchildren, Michelle Hummel, Kelly Hummel (Mike Lorenz), Jamie Becker (Brad), Brandi Beard (Brian), Brooke Kraus, Jessica Whiteford, Kristin Whiteford and Nicholas Whiteford; his great grandchildren, Bailey and Brooklyn Becker; his siblings, Denny Kraus (Mary), Wally Kraus (Jackie), Carole Weldishofer (Paul), Junior Kraus, Leon Kraus (Donna), Sandra Wagner (James), Mark Kraus (Sue), Maryjane Henning and Tim Kraus (Tammy); and his sister-in-law Millie Kraus. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of All Saints Parish (25743 IN-1, Guilford, IN 47022). A Mass was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (25743 IN-1, Guilford, IN 47022). The military honors was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the same location.
Memorials can be made to Masses or Family's Choice.
