He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, Kenny Kunkel of Weisberg and Jenny Steinmetz (Eldon) of New Alsace; his son-in-law Bobby Tallarigo; his grandchildren, Amanda, Kendra, Karlie Kunkel, Emily and Anna Tallarigo; and his brother Irvin Kunkel (Esther) of Batesville.
