He was predeceased by: his parents, Marguerite Klaserner and George Klaserner; and his sisters, Norma Betz and Joanne Collins. He is survived by: his wife Alice; his children, Steve Klaserner (Jenny), Anne Menkedick (Doug), John Klaserner (Lorrie) and David Klaserner (Lynn); and his grandchildren, Nick, Michelle, Jackie, Derek, Autumn, Faith, Allyson, Adam and Drew. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
