He was predeceased by: his father John Atkins; and his children, John Jr., Tim and Lori Turley. He is survived by: his wife Freda Hundley of Grovertown; and his children, Mike Atkins (Denise) of Grovertown, Jennifer Keffer of Andrews, IN and Angela Volesky (Maverick) of Corpus Christi, TX. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 2 great-greatgrandchildren.
