He was predeceased by: his parents, William Clay Walter and Sarah Stella Walter (Lingenfelter); his wife Helen; his brother John Austin Walter; and his sister-in-law Maxine Walter.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cynthia Boersma (Thomas) of Belleville and Karen Walter of Ypsilanti; his nephews, John (Brenda) of Plant City and Joe (Lynette) of Martinsburg, PA.; his grandchildren, Jennifer Baibak (Dave), Heather Tousignant and Thomas Boersma (Stephanie); and his great grandchildren, William, Parker Tousignant and Megan Baibak.
