With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Velda I Salima (Griffith, Indiana), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Velda left this world on February 28, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Morrison and Irene Morrison (Daniel); her son Michael; her grandson Thomas Blount; and her siblings, Robert and Sue Ann.
She is survived by: her children, Robin Blount (David) and David Salima (Ann); her daughter-in-law Annette Kush; her grandsons, Danny Blount (Lauren), Mark Blount (Chelsea), Jack Blount (Amanda), Alex Salima, Matt Salima (Leah) and Ben Salima (Baylea); her great grandchildren, Brettelynn, Maxson, Trenton, Sadie, Cam, Lucy and Silas; and her sister Penny Crouch. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the White Funeral Home (921 W Glen Park Ave, Griffith, IN 46319). A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a charity of your choice.
