He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Gerdes and Dolores Gerdes; and his brothers, Jeffrey Gerdes and Louis Gerdes. He is survived by: his brothers, Kent Gerdes, Craig Gerdes (Cecilia), Dennis Gerdes (Edith), David Gerdes (Sherry) and Michael Gerdes (Svetlana); his cousins, Fred Naumann (Brenda) and Archbishop Joseph Naumann of Kansas City, Kansas; and his friend Michelle Sura. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews; and numerous other loving friends.
