He was predeceased by: his parents, John Welch and Catherine Welch; his brothers, Bill, Jack, Ed, Leo and Tom; and his grandson O'Shea Patrick McCarthy.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his daughters, Cynthia Welch and Heather McCarthy; his grandchildren, Patrick McCarthy (Shakyla) and Darby; his great grandchild Memphis O'Shea McCarthy; and his sisters, Rita Mount, Dorothy Fiegle (Leonard) and Janet Boltz (late Danny). He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews.
