It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard E. Barnard of Griffith, Indiana, who passed away on June 9, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy; his parents, Harold Barnard and Ruth Barnard; his stepmother Louise Barnard; his brother Charles Barnard; his brother-in-law Dennis Adams; and his grandson Kyle Gordon.
He is survived by: his children, Gene Barnard (Cheryl), Barb Rhoades (Bill) and Lisa Kauchak (Bob); his grandsons, Mike Barnard (Emma), Eric Barnard (Kendra), Steven Barnard (Kim) and Matthew Kauchak; his sister Barbara Wallensack; and his sister-in-law JoLynn Adams. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family or to Dunes Hospice.
