He was predeceased by: his parents, Aloysius Helfen and Florence Helfen (Vonderheid); and his sisters, Dolores Hansen (Marvin) and Loretta Marsh (William). He is survived by: his son Robert Helfen (Heather); his granddaughter Ava; and his siblings, Sylvia Webster (late Bud), Alfred Helfen (Olivia), Rita Schneider (Edward), Raymond Helfen (Connie) and Shirley Mikuly (late Roger). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to St. Mary School, 525 N.Broad.
