He was predeceased by: his parents, George Whelan and Faye Whelan; and his sisters, Margaret Mary and Susan. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Whelan; and his children, Stephen, Christine, David (Mary) and Daniel Whelan. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
