He was predeceased by: his parents, Murray Hayden and Helen Hayden (Marjorie); his brother Oakes Hayden; and his son-in-law Bud Gaby. He is survived by: his daughter Laura Gaby; his grandson Michael Gaby (Kristin); his great grandchildren, Matthew and Andrew; and his cousins, Beverly Maywald and Judy Sims. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
