She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Vargo and Mary Vargo; and her husband Larry Dean Perkins. She is survived by: her son Larry J. Vargo (Mary Jo); her sister Joyce Hathaway (late Kenneth); her granddaughter Mary Alice Vargo (Hunter Harris); and her niece Merri V. Hathaway (Jon Willis).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 22nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Solan-Pruzin Funeral Home (14 Kennedy Ave, Schererville, IN 46375). The lying in state was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 at 9:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (525 N Broad St, Griffith, IN 46319). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
