It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet D. Chermak of Griffith, Indiana, who passed away on March 4, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Friant and Irene Friant; and her brothers, Gene, William and Robert.

She is survived by: her husband William Chermak; her children, Larry Chermak, Joel Chermak (Susan), Michele Denny (Mike) and Keith Chermak; her siblings, Judy Sullivan (Wayne) and Richard Friant; and her daughter-in-law Kathie Chermak. She is also survived by six grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
