He was predeceased by: his parents, Leendert Verhulst and Marijtje Verhulst (Leegwater); and his brothers, Nicolaas, Adrian (Judy), Arie (Loretta), Leonard (Marge), Art (Jan) and Nico Verhulst (Ann).
He is survived by: his brother Jake; his wife Florence Verhulst; his stepchildren, Joanne Alexovich (Jeff) of Indianapolis, IN, Jake Verhulst (Joanne) of Yorktown, VA, Judy Stark (Ralph) of Spring Grove, IL and John Verhulst of Tinley Park, IL.; his grandchildren, Leigh Query (Kevin), Lauren Smith (Aaron), Jacob Verhulst (Joanna), Christina Verhulst, Michael Verhulst (Madison), Rachel Stark, Matthew Stark, Heath Verhulst and Daisy Verhulst; his great grandchildren, Audra Query and Jacob R. Verhulst; his sister Annie Ridder (John); and his sisters-in-law, Ann Verhulst (Nico) and Jan Verhulst (Art). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
