He was predeceased by: his brother Bruce; and his grandsons, Anthony and Joey. He is survived by: his wife Sharron Van Kooten; his children, Rich Van Kooten (Carmen), Robert Van Kooten, Karen Pollak (Steve), Denise Kincaid (Glenn), Kevin Lee and David Lee; his grandchildren, Richard, Ryan, Tyler, Zachary, Jason (Mary), Brandon (Hope), Christina (Christopher), Kaylee (Kraig Jr), Taylor and Addison; his great grandchildren, Hunter, Mackenzie, Briar, Brinley and Kraig III; and his friend John Rivich.
