It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geraldine M. Hochstetler (Griffith, Indiana), born in Gary, Indiana, who passed away on December 10, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Michael and Jenny Starzynski (Ozinski); her husband Donald Hochstetler; her son David Hochstetler; her grandchildren, Angela and Ashly Ivers; her son-in-law Daniel Burbridge; and her sisters, Eve Starzynski, Barbara Pelshaw, Teresa Miller and Lucille Waddell.

She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah Schultz of Griffith, Darlene Popovich (Rich) of Griffith, Doreen Crook (William) of Griffith, Diane Hochstetler (Dennis) of Zionsville, Donna Burbridge of Griffith and Denise Galocy (Keith) of Morgan Hill, CA; and her siblings, Emily Shadrix of O'Brien, FL, Carol Hosseinipour of Jacksonville, FL, Christine Sprague (Chris) of Erie, PA, Michael Starr of Naples, FL, Eugene Starr (Sue) of Canton, OH and David Starr of Henderson, NV.. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.

“I send my deepest condolences to the Hochstetler sisters and siblings. Aunt Geri was a ray of sunshine everywhere she went, so loving and kind, with empathy and compassion and lack of judgment. She accepted everyone. I have fond memories of Aunt Geri at the Starzynski reunion where her smile and laugh warmed your heart. I so enjoyed her visit to Florida with Aunt Lou for my Dad's 80's birthday. She was funny. I was getting to know her more but she made everyone feel loved. I miss her”
