She was predeceased by: her husbands, James Murray and William C. Kirk; her parents, Quentin Griffin and Ruth Griffin; her siblings, Nedith Kuykendall and Harry Moore; and her sister-in-law Peggy Mitchell (Travis).
She is survived by: her sons, Dwayne Murray (Angie) and William Kirk (Teresa); her sisters, Mildred Martin and Josephine Clark (M. L. Jr.); and her siblings-in-law, James Kirk (Virginia) and Jessie Wynn. She is also survived by four grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren.
