He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy Carter; and his siblings, Charles Carter (Harriet), Cecil Carter (Faye) and Janice Meade (Dallas). He is survived by: his children, Bill Carter (Darnell), Mary Berger and Michael Carter (Laura); his grandchildren, Kevin Berger (Michelle), Steven Berger (Emily), Valerie Prince (Brian), Brett Carter, Kyle Carter (Claire), Alyssa Carter, Anthony Carter (Kendall), Brianna Carter and Curtis Carter; his great grandchildren, Ryan Berger, Rachel Berger, Autumn Prince, Carter Prince, Lee Carter, Emmie Carter and Sterling Carter; and his brother Ed (Jean).
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the American Heart Association.
