He was predeceased by: his wife Helen K. Rushing; his siblings, Jane Warren (late James), Judy Rushing and Fred Rushing; and his parents, Arthur Rushing and Margaret Rushing.

He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Schroers (Brien); his granddaughter Emily Rushing; and his siblings, Nancy Barone (late Carmen), George Rushing and Stephen Rushing (Valerie).
