He was predeceased by: his parents, Thamer Austin Ackley and Sarah Ellen "Sadie" Walton; his former wife Nancy; his wife Grace; his sons, Michael Allen Ackley and Etienne Lee (English); and his siblings, Mable, Lois, Hazel, Jean, Beth, Maynard and Bill Ackley.
He is survived by: his children, Grace, William Walter English (Miriam) of Cedar City, Kae Arelyn Griffith (James) of Griffith and Dennis Dean English of Pensacola, Florida; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth English Terrill of Washington State, Mae English of Southern California, Cassie English Willis (David) of Michigan City, Andrew Christiansen of California, Melinda Griffith Finchum (Scott) of Schererville and Devon MacDonald of Marble Falls, Texas. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
