It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alan Neil King Sr. of Griffith, Indiana, who passed away on October 1, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank King and Mildred King (Applegate); and his brother Dennis King. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his children, Alan King, Jr. (late Mary), Kathy Sorenson (Kris), Robert King (Jennie) and Karen Witt (Erik); and his grandchildren, Ariana, Malaya, Faith, Josh, Jon, Eli, Aidan, Gabe, Robin and Simon. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of the Calumet Area in Memory of Alan King, Sr., or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memory of his brother, Dennis King, who died of polio and lymphoma at 4 years of age.
