He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Frederick Jr. and Martha Pauline Bonitz (Busse); his wife Donna Bonitz; his son David Bonitz; his brother Harold Bonitz; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Hoene (Orville).
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Bonitz of Indianapolis, IN and Timothy Bonitz of Lansdale, PA; his grandchildren, Heather Zoderer of Indianapolis, IN, Carl Bonitz of Indianapolis, IN, Lisa Hoffman (Matt) of Indianapolis, IN, Evan Bonitz of Indianapolis, IN, Joel Bonitz (Cheri Walker-Owens) of Indianapolis, IN, Jessica Lawrence (Price) of Laceys Spring, AL, Hope Bonitz of Florence, AL, Faith Bonitz of Florence, AL, Matthew Bonitz of Lansdale, PA and Elizabeth Bonitz of Lansdale, PA; his great grandchildren, Dylan Bonitz of Indianapolis, IN, Landon Caruso of Indianapolis, IN, Dominic Hoffman of Indianapolis, IN, Asher Hoffman of Indianapolis, IN and Sharayah Hoffman of Indianapolis, IN; and his siblings, Martin "Pete" Bonitz (late Joyce) of Columbia Falls, MT, Lorraine "Susie" Kerr (late Richard) of Coleman, WI and Kathryn Chandler (Bill) of Mellen, WI. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (6630 Southeastern Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46203). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
