He is survived by: his partner Jade Dearborn; his parents, Lisa Triolo and Jon Brogden; his siblings, Maya Spann (Eric), Nicholas Brogden (Caroline), Ethan Brogden, Michelle Whittinghill (Phillip) and Jeffrey Triolo (Karen); his grandmother Lola Ada (Wayne); his nieces and nephews, Blakelyn, Maddox, Kingston and Jaxon Brogden; his aunt Lynn McDonald; his cousins, Paige, Matthew and Craig Cohea (Rebecca); his uncle Rich; his aunt Marla White; and his close friend Kush. He is also survived by family; and many other dear aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In his final act of generosity, Jon-Derek became a hero through organ donation, giving the gift of life to others in need.
