She was predeceased by: her parents, Oakley Smith and Ruth Smith (Hannebaum); her husband James Akers (Doc); and her brothers, Harold "Hoss" Smith and Arnold Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Marina Thompson (Chris), Autumn Revel (Chris), Tressy Kessinger, Tammy Akers and Tim Akers; and her brother Dean Smith. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Greenwood Bible Baptist Church.
