He was predeceased by: his parents, D. S. Rider and Helen Everett Rider; his sister Rose Ann Gira; and his wife Mary. He is survived by: his children, Sue James (Mickey), Steven Rider (Pam) and Carol Grissom (Greg). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home (1605 S State Rd 135, Greenwood, IN 46143). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the G. H. Hermann Funeral Home and Cremation Center (1605 S State Rd 135, Greenwood, IN 46143).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Mount Pleasant Christian Church.
