She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Martin and Era Martin (Bales); her husband Otis Padgett; her siblings, Betty Jean Snodgrass, Henry Lee, Otis Max and Everett Louis Martin; and her granddaughter Carrie Padgett.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Hunter, Nina Berry, Dianna Brooks and Charles Padgett; and her grandchildren, Jeremy Hunter, Charles Padgett Jr., Cindy Barngrover (Padgett), Annie Padgett, Josh Padgett, Cherokee Bricker and Austin Bricker. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home (4 Percy L Julian Dr, Greencastle, IN 46135). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
