It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma Fay DeMent of Greenville, Indiana, who passed away on October 19, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Farnsley Burkhart and Ruby Mae Burkhart; her husband Howard Jason DeMent; and her siblings, Earl Burkhart, Bill Burkhart, Harold Burkhart, Dallas "Gene" Burkhart, Glenn Burkhart and Silvia Skaggs.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Keith DeMent (Jane) and Geraldine Louise Neely; her siblings, Kenny Burkhart and Irene Vance; her grandchildren, Jeffrey DeMent, John DeMent, Jason Neely and Jennifer Neely; and her great grandchildren, Cole Neely and Alex DeMent.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Union Chapel Christian Church at 8725 Union Chapel Road, Laconia, IN 47135 in honor of Norma DeMent's memory.
