He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Voyles and Eleanor Voyles (Heuser). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Voyles; his sons, John Voyles, Jr. (Vicky), Stuart Voyles (Nonie) and Nelson Voyles (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Meagan LeMay (Joe), Tate Anderson (Kristi), Derrick Anderson (Jessi), Sonnie Anderson-Duncan (Blake), Chance Voyles and Clayton Voyles.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in John's memory can be made to Hour of Power Church (116 W Main St, New Albany, IN 47150).
