It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James J. Halas of Greenville, Indiana, born in Norwalk, Connecticut, who passed away on June 16, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Halas and Celeste Halas (Stanford); his wife Margaret Jean Halas (Daw); and his sisters, Janet Gibson, Dorothy Maney and Irene Ziza.
He is survived by: his children, James R. Halas (Connie) and Victoria L. Dickinson; his grandchildren, Julee Halas, Jaime Murray (Mark), Jennifer Stephens (Al) and Kelsey Dickinson; and his great grandchildren, Sophia Stephens, Marshall Stephens, Margaret Murray, Jack Murray and Simon Legg. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
