We are sad to announce that on April 13, 2025, at the age of 78, Steve Allen Vermilion of Greentown, Indiana, born in Marion, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Steve Allen had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Steve Allen may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Swihart and Martha L. Vermilion Swihart (Lowery); his spouse Rebbecca "Becky" St. Clair; his sister Diana K. Patterson; and his stepdaughter Amanda Nixon.
He is survived by: his children, Terry W. Vermilion (Teri), Angela Locklear and Ryan David Vermilion; his stepdaughter Alisha Evans; and his siblings, Judy Hale and Charles "Butch" Vermilion (Madrue). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hasler & Stout Funeral Home (112 E Main St, Greentown, IN 46936-1214). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the United States Army and the Kokomo VFW.
